But…why?
Why I'm building Viewport.
I've always been fascinated with progress.
As a designer, I work across various mediums, apps, and teams. I thrive on building my own ideas and creating for a diverse range of clients across different industries and disciplines.
However, during my design projects, I often felt lost in the process. How did I arrive here? What do I want to remember from this project? Where was that initial idea, and how did it evolve?
To find clarity, I started creating extensive Figma boards to catalog and organize all my projects—whether they were client work, personal projects, or past endeavors. This gave me a broader view of where I was spending my time and areas where I could improve.
Seeing the progression of all my projects, both ongoing and completed, became incredibly inspiring. It sparked new ideas, helped me get unstuck, and motivated me to keep building. Having that bird’s-eye view allowed me to see the bigger picture.
That's why I wanted to create a space that captures work as it happens and builds a living archive—a space that’s not only beautiful to reflect on but also makes sharing current projects easy and interactive.
Viewport has been a labor of love, built slowly and thoughtfully—fully self-funded. I’ve grown so much as a designer while building Viewport, and I feel like this is just the beginning. There’s still so much left to explore, and I hope you’ll join me on this journey.
